You CAN Volunteer for free!

You CAN Volunteer for free!

Until I happened upon this awesome guide, I had no idea there were free volunteering opportunities.  Kirsty of Nerdy Nomad has written a brilliant, concise and detailed ebook that explains the differences between free and fee-based volunteering opportunities listing the various companies providing both and including interviews with people who have done both.

Kirsty herself volunteers for Hands On Disaster Response who are currently based in Haiti helping rebuild homes with the locals. She is also donating a percentage of her ebook sales to HODR with the goal of eventually donating $10,000 to them.

Please check it out and tell your friends interested in volunteering projects around the world.  Reading her ebook is what gave me the final boot to seek out a project to volunteer with which you can find out about tomorrow so subscribe to my blog and you’ll be first with the news.

I am so pleased to have found out that volunteering can be free or affordable.  I always wished I had a lot of money so I could afford to volunteer, now I know a lot of money is not necessarily needed.

Have you ever volunteered for an organization for low or no cost?  Tell us about it in the comments!

Hey! Thanks for writing this. FOr some reason I only noticed it just now. I added a link to the review over on my site.

I’m excited to hear that my ebook was the catalyst for your volunteering adventure. The gibbon thing sounds pretty amazing, I will have to add it to my updated ebook, whenever it comes out.

I’m looking forward to reading about more of your volunteering adventures!
